Six job corps students arrested for robbery

CALLICOON – State Police arrested six students at the Delaware Valley Job Corps on Route 97 in Callicoon for allegedly attacking another student and robbing him in one of the dormitories.
The investigation determined that on Sunday, May 3 at about 1:30 a.m., the six students entered the victim’s dorm room while he was sleeping, held him down, beat him with a belt and broke into a locker, stealing an I-phone and cash. The victim was treated for minor injuries at Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Grover Hermann campus.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested Nelson Rivera, 18, of Jersey City, New Jersey; Paul Andre, 17, of Brooklyn; Preston Ludd Jr., 16, of New York; Timothy Griffin, 20, of Brooklyn; Ahrkel Williams, 20, of the US Virgin Islands; and Michael Jones, 18, of Moorestown, New Jersey.
They were all charged with felony robbery and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $35,000 cash bail each.
