Newburgh police revive sixth overdose victim with Narcan

NEWBURGH – A 23-year-old Newburgh woman, who was found unresponsive and lying on the floor of the basement at 164 Lander Street at 8 p.m. on Monday, was the sixth victim of a drug overdose to be revived by Narcan since City Police were approved to administer the drug.
When Officer Jonathan Saintiche determined she had possible overdosed, he administered the intranasal medication and within minutes, she became conscious, alert and oriented.  She was transported to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh for further evaluation.
