TOWN OF WARWICK – Police concluded a month-long investigation into the sale and distribution of heroin in the Town of Warwick with the arrest of a local resident.
Town Police charged George Askew, 65, of 2 Liberty Court with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police recovered 50 bags of heroin and $637 in cash. The investigation was initiated from resident complaints and an aggressive investigation by Warwick Town Police, which is continuing.
“This case is another reminder that the heroin epidemic is not confined to our cities,” said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
