Troopers issue tickets in distracted driving, DWI details

WESTCHESTER – Two days of traffic enforcement details in Westchester County resulted in a number of arrests and tickets being issued.
On April 11, State Police conducted a six-hour distracted driving enforcement initiative focusing on State Route 6 in the Town of Cortlandt and issued 26 tickets. The majority were for texting while driving.
The day before, a DWI saturation detail resulted in three arrests – two men and one woman, for driving while intoxicated.
In addition, 27 traffic tickets were issued for nine speeding violations and 18 other traffic offenses.
