LOCH SHELDRAKE – Dr. Karin Hilgersom, president of SUNY Sullivan, is one of four finalist candidates for the presidency of Spokane Community College in the State of Washington.
Hilgersom, who assumed SUNY Sullivan’s top job in February 2013, is no stranger to the Spokane school. She once served as its dean of arts and sciences.
The current president at Spokane, Scott Morgan, is retiring and the college anticipates naming his replacement in July.
Hilgersom came to Sullivan from Central Oregon Community College where she served as a vice president.
The other three finalists for the Spokane job are all at schools in the western part of the nation.
Hilgersom did not return a phone call for comment on Friday.
