MONTICELLO – Police arrested a couple found hiding at 19 Rock Ridge Road in Monticello.
The residence belongs to a friend of the male subject.
Monticello Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alfred Franklin, 30, and Tina Esquilin, 27, on Tuesday, April 7. Armed with a warrant, police went to the residence and took Franklin and Esquilin into custody.
The couple and their children were the subjects of an Amber alert in March. When they failed to appear in Sullivan County Family Court on April 1, a warrant was issued for their arrest.
The children were previously removed from the couple’s custody and placed with relatives.
