Two arrested in connection with armed gas station robbery

TOWN OF CORTLANDT – Two men have been
arrested by State Police following an armed robbery at a Mobil gas station
on Crompond Road in the Town of Cortlandt and police said they have been
implicated in armed robberies in Dutchess and Rockland counties as well
as in several areas in Connecticut.

Michael Caccavale, 35, of Yonkers, was arrested following an intense search
in the Washington Heights section of New York City during the early morning
hours of Thursday, April 2. He was remanded to the Westchester County
Jail without bail.

Nicholas Fiore, 24, of Yonkers, was arrested following a traffic stop
in Yonkers on March 30. He was also remanded in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Troopers were assisted by Town of Clarkstown Police, Wappingers Falls
Police, Connecticut State Police, Greenwich and Norwich, Connecticut police
departments, the US Postal Inspector’s Office and the FBI.
