RHINEBECK – A Rhinebeck woman was
committed to the Dutchess County Jail on bail following her arrest on
Thursday, April 2 on a felony burglary charge.

State Police also charged Kristen Zietz, 22, with felony grand larceny
and misdemeanor criminal contempt.

Her arrest stemmed from a March 24 incident where a Rhinebeck residence
was broken into overnight. An investigation by troopers revealed Zietz
had entered a family member’s home and stole cash, a debit card
and prescription medication.

The victim was identified as the protected party in a court order of protection
that prevented Zietz from having any contact with that family member.
Zietz was charged, as a result, with criminal contempt.

She was remanded to jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
