Wrong way vehicle on Thruway results in DWI and reckless endangerment charges

YONKERS – State Police have arrested a Sumter, South Carolina man
for driving the wrong way on the Thruway in Yonkers while drunk. He was
involved in accidents with other vehicles and occupants in those were
treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers said Abednego McNamee, 29, was found to be intoxicated and in
possession of a small amount of marijuana when arrested at 12:17 a.m.
on Saturday, March 28.

He was charged with DWI, reckless endangerment, and aggravated unlicensed
operation, all misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
