Pennsylvania man hits $7 million NY Lottery jackpot

NEW CITY – An Easton, Pennsylvania
man was introduced to the public Wednesday as the winner of the “$7
million Golden Ticket” scratch-off New York Lottery game.
Joseph Amorese, 46, never plays the lottery, but the Verizon employee was given the ticket in a get well card he received from his father, who lives in Congers. His dad placed the $25 ticket in the envelope as a way to lift his son’s spirits while he recovered at home from surgery.
Amorese said it was a good thing he sitting down when he scratched the ticket “because I was in shock.” He said he was and still is in “complete disbelief.”
He will take home $4.63 million after taxes.
The ticket was purchased at a Just a Dollar store in New City.
