Snow expected on first day of spring

MID-HUDSON – Friday evening may mark the official beginning of spring, but Mother Nature may be pulling a fast one on us. Snow is going to roll into the area after 9 a.m. on Friday and over the course of the day, dump two to four inches, according to the National Weather Service. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent and temperatures will reach near 32.
The snow should begin to wind down perhaps around 6:45 this evening, which is precisely when spring begins.  Overnight lows will be in the mid 20s.
There will be a slight chance of snow before noon on Saturday, then a slight chance of rain showers. It will be partly sunny with highs near 42.
