Four area counties rank high in national salary levels

NEW YORK – The average weekly wage in Westchester County in the second quarter of 2014 ranked 22nd in the nation, according to the latest figures from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The average weekly pay was $1,215 in Westchester.
Rockland County, which ranked 70th nationwide, saw the average weekly wage at $1,003.
Dutchess County, with an average weekly wage of $969, ranked 83rd in the country and Orange County, with an average weekly wage of $825, ranked 214th in the nation.
In contrast, Manhattan, with a weekly wage of $1,732, ranked third in the nation.
Average weekly wages in area counties in the second quarter of last year included:

Delaware          $781
Greene             $780
