Poughkeepsie man arrested for selling drugs near elementary school

POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie man is in the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond for allegedly selling drugs across the street from an elementary school.
Police arrested Eric Fox, 25, of 112 Mansion Street following the execution of a search warrant there. Authorities had conducted a one-month investigation into heroin sales taking place at that address.  As a result of the raid on Wednesday morning, March 4, police seized 10 grams of unpackaged heroin, enough for 170 glassine envelopes, and packaging materials.
Fox was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance on or near a school grounds, both as felonies.
The investigation is continuing and police said more arrests are pending.
The investigation was conducted by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force with assistance from City of Poughkeepsie Police.
