Employees hold shoplifter until police respond to scene

Headley

WEST NYACK – A Katonah man has been charged with felony robbery
and assault after he stole clothing from a store at the Palisades Center
Mall in West Nyack and fought with two employees who attempted to stop
him.

During that struggle, in which the workers were able to detain the man,
identified as Justin Headley, 28, one of them sustained a broken finger.

Headley was also charged with petit larceny, possession of burglary’s
tools and criminal possession of stolen property. The clothing stolen
from the H&M store was valued at $255.

Headley was remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail
following the incident last Friday, March 6 just before 9 p.m.
