KINGSTON – Two men pled guilty in Ulster County Court on Friday to felony robbery for their roles in the robbery of the Rondout Savings Bank branch on Schwenk Drive in the City of Kingston last summer.
On July 25, Steffon Williams and Clarence Davis entered the bank around 11 a.m. with Williams approaching a teller with a bag and demanding that it be filled with money. The teller complied.
David had followed Williams into the bank and positioned himself at a desk of an assistant branch manager and warned that individual that no one would be hurt if she kept her hands on the desk.
After the robbery, the men fled to a vehicle that was waiting for them in the lot of a nearby apartment complex. A third man, Cinque Mandela, has been indicted as the getaway driver. His case is still pending.
