Police ticket over 40 drivers on interstate

SOMERS – It was not a happy Valentine’s
Day for 45 motorists who were ticketed in I-684 in Somers on Saturday.

State Police conducted a speed enforcement initiative and issued 45 tickets,
the majority of which were for speeding.

The initiative perpetuates the mission of the State Police to reduce deaths,
injuries and property damage caused by motor vehicle and traffic enforcement,
authorities said.
