NEW WINDSOR – A pharmaceutical company that wants to build an $85 million, 340,000 square foot distribution facility at Hudson Valley Crossing in Hamptonburgh was granted final approval for tax breaks from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency.
The company is being kept secret and the project is only referred to Blackhawk Development.
IDA Associate Executive Director Laurie Villasuso said it is a Fortune 50 company.
“It is a highly automated, highly regulated facility so once they construct the facility, it is a whole year going through testing before they can actually function,” Villasuso said. “It is really going to be a jewel for Orange County.”
The company will receive a multi-year property tax abatement and a sales tax exemption on construction materials.
