ALBANY – Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro and the State Conservative Committee are on the same page when it comes to fiscal belt tightening.
Molinaro addressed the party on Sunday saying the state must do more
to relieve the local financial burden on counties.
“Rather than continuing to shift the burden from Albany down to local property taxpayers, we think Albany should pay for its programs, pay for its bills, and allow us to provide the core services that taxpayers expect from us,” he told the party leaders.
Since Molinaro became county executive, he has sought to reinvented county government by streamlining and consolidating services wherever possible.
