MONTICELLO – Sullivan County Manager
Joshua Potosek Tuesday named Joseph Todora as acting commissioner of the
Division of Health and Family Services and acting commissioner of social
services.
He replaces Randy Parker, who has been placed on administrative leave.
Todora has been working with the county since 1987 and has served as the
director of Sullivan County Department of Community Services for the past
14 years.
Potosek said Todora brings “a wealth of experience to the division
with over 25 years of experience as a manager and director” in Sullivan
County and the state human services field.
Potosek said Todora is “known and respected statewide for his knowledge
in the health and Medicaid fields.”
Parker’s future with the county remains to be seen. He has retained
an attorney. Among the options open to Parker is a negotiated buyout of
his contract with the county.
