MOUNT VERNON – The City of Mount Vernon and Westchester Crimestoppers will hold an anonymous gun buyback in April.
The event will provide people with the opportunity to turn in firearms to the police department with no penalties and receive gift cards as an incentive.
The weapons may be turned in Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Doles Community Center. Guns should be transported to the site unloaded and in the trunk of the vehicle.
