Four arrested on drug charges in Port Jervis

PORT JERVIS – An investigation into drug sales in Port Jervis resulted in the arrested of four people on Friday with police executed a no-knock search warrant at a King Street residence in the Acre-Riverside section of the city.
A search of the residence turned up an undisclosed amount of cash, 38 glassine envelopes of heroin and two grams of crack cocaine packed in individual bags.
Arrested were Brittany Murphy, 22, of 36 King Street, and Weldon McWilliams, 28, of Patterson, New Jersey.  Both were charged with several counts of felony criminal possession of drugs as felonies. Murphy was also charged under a state parole warrant as a parole absconder.
Police also arrested Gary Sienkiewicz, 51, and Deborah Sienkiewicz, 54, of 36 King Street. Each was charged with criminal nuisance as a felony for allegedly allowing narcotics to be sold from their residence in exchange for financial benefit.
Also arrested at the scene was Dawn Smith, 45, of the same address. She was charged on a Port Jervis City Court bench warrant for failure to appear in an unrelated matter.
Murphy was sent to the Orange County Jail without bail because of two or more prior felony convictions. McWilliams is held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. Gary Sienkiewicz is held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, Deborah Sienkiewicz was in lieu of $5,000 cash bail and Smith in lieu of $500 bail.
The investigation and arrests were made by the Port Jervis Police Department and Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the cases.
