HUDSON – A Philmont woman was arrested by the Columbia County Welfare Fraud Task Force on charges associated with welfare fraud.
Barbara Kubisek, 44, allegedly collected child daycare benefits after submitting false paperwork to the Columbia County Department of Social Services and obtained benefits of over $1,000.
Kubisek was charged with welfare fraud and grand larceny, both as felonies, and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
The county social services department and District Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation.
