Woman charged with altering doctor’s prescription

SAUGERTIES – A Cementon woman was arrested on Wednesday in Saugerties after she allegedly attempted to use a forged prescription at a pharmacy in the village.
Saugerties Police alleged that Jennifer Litts, 27, tried to pass a forged prescription at the Village Apothecary on Market Street. She is charged with altering the dosage amount on a doctor’s prescription and as a result, was charged with felony forgery.
Litts allegedly tried to pass the prescription on January 7.
She was released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
