HIGHLAND – A 37-year-old Highland man sustained a broken leg, facial and shoulder injuries when he was struck from behind while walking north on Route 9W near the intersection of White Street in Highland Tuesday night.
Town of Lloyd Police said the man was walking at around 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that did not stop and left the scene.
The victim was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Lloyd Town Police were assisted at the scene by the Highland Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services ambulance.
