Ellenville woman charged with pointing gun during domestic dispute

ELLENVILLE – An Ellenville woman was arrested by State Police on charges of menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
During a verbal domestic dispute on Mountain View Lane in Ellenville, Justine Paynich allegedly pointed a .22 caliber pistol at another female putting her in fear of bodily harm. Police said the handgun was possessed illegally without a state pistol permit.
Paynich was arraigned following the incident on January 17 and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
