NEWBURGH – A 29-year-old Newburgh man, who was found unresponsive in a car parked in a residential parking lot on Castle Avenue in the city, was revived with the overdose medication Narcan.
Police Officer Roman Scuadroni responded to the scene and found the man with his face blue and his breathing labored. A needle was located in the vehicle so the emergency appeared to be drug related.  The officer had been trained in the administration of Narcan, which he administered, bringing the man back to consciousness. He was treated by responding Mobile Life Support paramedics and transported to the emergency room.
This is the third instance of Newburgh City Police officers administered Narcan. Over 26 Newburgh officers are certified to administer those kits.
