KINGSTON – A second man accused in the shooting death of a patron at a New Paltz bar last Easter Sunday, was arraigned in Ulster County Court on Friday.
Taquan “Tay” Webb was indicted on a charge of murder as an accomplice in the killing of Ryan Gray, 29, of Poughkeepsie on April 20, 2014.
Another man, Basheem Bennett, 21, of Poughkeepsie, pled guilty to murder in December and awaits sentencing.
At the time of the arrests, authorities said it was believed the murder was in retaliation to the killing of Alvin Hayles, which occurred in Poughkeepsie during October 2013.
Gray’s 26-year-old girlfriend, who was with him in the bar when he was shot to death, was wounded in the incident at Murphy’s Bar.
