TOWN OF ULSTER – Two recent robberies that occurred in the Town of Ulster remain under investigation.
A Family Dollar store at 781 East Chester Street was robbed at about 9:20 p.m. on January 1. On January 13 at about 6:40 p.m., the Smoker’s Choice store at 1146 Ulster Avenue was held up.
While the physical descriptions of the perpetrators are different, Police Chief Anthony Cruise said they are not ruling anything out including that the same person may have committed both crimes.
The suspect in the first robbery is a white man in his late 20s to 30s, about six feet tall and wearing a black knit hat, black zippered jacket, dark gray pants, black gloves and shoes. He was wearing a mask and was armed with a knife.
In the second case, the robber is a white man in his late 30s to early 40s, about five feet, five inches tall, with a medium to heavy build.  He was wearing a black knit hat, light camouflage colored half face mask, black gloves, eye glasses, a black hooded jacket, black wind pants with two white stripes down each leg, and dark colored sneakers.  He brandished a handgun during the rubbery.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ulster Town Police at 845-382-1111.
