MONTEBELLO – Fire at 51 Oxford Drive in the Village of MontEbello Thursday evening caused fire and water damage to the residence there.
All occupants had escaped by the time police and fire arrived. There were no injuries reported.
Tallman fighters extinguished the blaze with mutual aid assistance from Sloatsburg, Suffern, Spring Valley and Mahwah departments. Village fire and building inspectors were on the scene and said it is believed the fire was electrical in nature and originated in the attic/fireplace chimney area.
