ALBANY – Two local governments in the Hudson Valley have been awarded state urban forestry grants.
The Village of Mamaroneck will receive $50,000 for two projects – half for preparation of a tree management program and half for a high priority tree maintenance and sidewalk repair initiative.
The Village of Warwick will receive $18,000 for a tree inventory.
Statewide 40 urban forestry projects were approved for just under $930,000 in grants through the State Department of Environmental Conservation.
