KINGSTON – Four Kingston residents are under arrest following an assault and robbery of a man’s cell phone in Kingston on Monday, January 12.
City Police charged Quavon Travis, 20, of West Pierpont Street; Jennifer Temple, 25, of Sheehan Court; David Erickson, 21, of Elemendorf Street; and an 18-year-old Thomas Street man with two counts of robbery, assault and criminal possession of stolen property.
At about 6:10 p.m. police were called to 384 Foxhall Avenue where a 34-year-old man had met a person to sell a cell phone that he had previously advertised on Craigslist.  During the transaction, the victim was assaulted and robbed by the individuals who had earlier offered to buy the phone. During the assault, a handgun was used and a phone was taken.
The victim was able to provide a description of the perpetrators and the vehicle in which they fled. A short time later, members of Town of Ulster Police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office located and stopped the vehicle at the Hudson Valley Mall.
The stolen phone and a weapon matching the description given by the victim were recovered.
The victim sustained contusions to his face and was treated and released.
