Newburgh man charged with liquor store burglary

NEWBURGH – A Newburgh man is charged with breaking into a liquor store.
Agapito Camacho, 40, was caught on video surveillance when he allegedly broke the front glass door of Broadway Liquors at 575 Broadway at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 10. He entered the store and stole cash.
On Monday night, the 12th, officers were patrolling when they spotted Camacho in the area of 356 Broadway. He was carrying a plastic bag with a rock in it.
After questioning, police charged him with felony burglary.
Detectives are continuing their investigation into similar commercial burglaries that have occurred in the past several days.
