PUTNAM VALLEY – A town resident was arrested in connection with the July 2014 theft of jewelry from an acquaintance’s home.
Members of the Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit along with investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested William Gambichler, 21, who was wanted on a Superior Court arrest warrant after he allegedly failed to complete his court ordered drug treatment program. Gambichler was taken into custody by narcotics investigators and placed in the Putnam County Correctional Facility where he is awaiting a future court appearance.
The investigation led to suspecting Gambichler as the individual responsible for stealing jewelry from the Putnam Valley home.
Gambichler was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
