POUGHKEEPSIE – City 911 received a call reporting a man appearing to beat a small dog in Pulaski Park near Talmadge Street on December 28, at 7:56 am.
The dispatch of officers was delayed because of a car accident. By the time police arrived the man and the dog were gone.
A video of the dog being beaten was posted on Facebook and has gone viral.
Poughkeepsie Police are actively investigating this case and are following up on several leads from concerned Citizens. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police at 451-7577.
