Airmont man indicted for assault, strangling court officer

NEW CITY – A Rockland County Grand Jury indicted Robenson Joseph, 39, of 116 Pondview Drive, Airmont for assault and criminal obstruction of breath/blood circulation.
On December 13, 2014, Joseph allegedly grabbed the throat of an off duty court officer and applied pressure to his throat. The defendant also grabbed the necklace that the victim was wearing and twisted the necklace in order to choke him causing bruising and a laceration to his back.
