Peter E. Passaro, Sr.

Peter E. Passaro, Sr., of Roscoe, NY, a self-employed landscaper and a longtime area resident died Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Garnet Health Hospital in Middletown, NY. He was 81.

The son of the late Peter and Florence Essing Passaro, he was born June 19, 1942, in Newark, NJ.

Pete served Our Country in the US Air Force from 1965-1969 (Vietnam Era).  He is a Member of the American Legion Post # 315, Roscoe, NY; a Life Member and Past Chief of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Company, a Member of the Sullivan County Fire Police Association; a Member of the Kinch Hill Hunting Club; and a Member of the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Lyons Passaro, at home; two sons, Peter Passaro, Jr. of Roscoe, NY and Mark Passaro and his wife Margaret of Honesdale, PA; one daughter, Michelle Lambrigger and her husband Scott of Pace, FL; seven nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a sister, Lee Casagrande who died Sept. of 2023.

Visitation will be Monday, March 25, 2024, from 4-6 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Firematic Services will be conducted by the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Company, Monday, March 25, 2024, at 6 PM in the funeral home.

Dignified cremation will be provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC.  Private burial will be in the Beaverkill Cemetery, Beaverkill, NY
