Joseph Hernandez

Joseph Hernandez of Monticello passed away unexpectedly in Livingston Parish, Louisiana on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the age of 32.

The son of Martha Alberto and Jose Hernandez, he was born July 31, 1991, in Staten Island.

He is survived by his mother: Martha Alberto of Monticello; his father Jose Hernandez of Baton Rouge, LA; a son: Sebastian Hernandez; a daughter: Athena Hernandez; two brothers: Josue Hernandez and Richard Sorto; three sisters: Jessica Alberto, Zehidy Hernandez and Sandra Alberto; and his nieces and nephew: Arianna Sanchez, Daniel Torija, Sofia Corces and Camila Corces, along with many aunts’ uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 12pm-2:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello, with a prayer service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
