HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Donna M. McMahon, 60, an area resident since 1999, passed away surrounded by her family on April 17, 2024, at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. She previously lived in Valhalla.
Donna was born in the Bronx on June 14, 1963. She was an office assistant for Chappaqua Central School District where she has been employed for the last 25 years.
Donna’s family meant the world to her. On May 7, 1988, at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, Donna married John McMahon. Her loving husband of 36 years survives at home. She is also survived by her sons, John McMahon of Houston, TX and Robert McMahon of Conshohocken, PA; her mother, Antoinette (Fondarella) Rinaldi; her brother, Louis Rinaldi and his wife Holly; her sister, Julie Rinaldi; her mother-in-law, Carole McMahon; her sisters-in-law, Carole McMahon and Gina McNaught; and many nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her father, Giulio Rinaldi.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the BMT Unit of 10 West at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center for their care and compassion over the last several months.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday April 21, 2024, from 2-6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday April 22, 2024, at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
