POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie continue to investigate a fatal shooting at North Clinton and Mansion streets early Saturday morning.
A relative of the dead man identified him as Noel McClinton. “He
was a good man,” she said. On Sunday, police confirmed his identity.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Officers found a man suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he later died.
An autopsy was scheduled by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Poughkeepsie Police were assisted at the scene by Town of Poughkeepsie Police, State Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
