MID-HUDSON – Another 1,610 people have contracted the COVID-19 virus in the Hudson Valley in the latest statistics from Albany with 25 new deaths reported.
The UK variant of the virus has reached Saratoga, Warren, and Suffolk counties.
“Right now, we are in a footrace between how quickly we distribute the vaccine and how quickly the infection is spreading,” said Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The issue is the limited supply being distributed. Virtually within minutes to hours after a new supply is announced in a Hudson Valley county, it is reserved with a long waiting list to follow.
