PORT JERVIS – A Mount Vernon man was arrested by Port Jervis City Police following a September 6 incident in which he is accused of failing to comply with police officers and leading them on a vehicle pursuit that led outside the city into various jurisdictions.
Rasheem Edwards, 22, was arrested on September 11 and charged with reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing a police officer, false personation, making a false written statement and reckless endangerment, all as misdemeanors. He was also charged with a felony violation of New York parole and traffic violations.
Edwards was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail pending a future court appearance.
