STONY POINT – Police arrested a Piermont man on a rape charge alleging that he had sex with a person under the age of 17.
Stony Point Police, acting on a rape investigation initiated by Haverstraw Police, determined that Carlos Medina, 32, engaged in sexual conduct with a person under the age of 17 in the Town of Stony Point on June 28. He was arraigned and released on $2,500 bail pending a future court appearance.
The victim was an acquaintance of Medina but was not related, police said.
Police did not reveal the victim’s age or sex.
