FISHKILL – A two car hit-and-run collision on I-84 in the area of Route 52 in Fishkill on Tuesday has resulted in the arrest of a Millerton man.
State Police interviewed Joseph Senese, 33, of Milford, Pennsylvania, who told them he was driving a tow truck on I-84 east when he said a man eastbound in a car passed his truck on the shoulder of the road and slammed on his brakes as Senese attempted to exit I-84 to Route 52. Senese was unable to avoid a collision and struck the car in the rear.
Senese spoke with the driver, Robert Sheehan, 56, of Millerton, and following an argument, Sheehan left the scene and struck Senese who was standing in front of the Mercedes trying to take a photo of the license plate.
Senese was evaluated by EMS and declined further medical treatment.
Sheehan was located on the Taconic State Parkway by Stormville patrols and found to be intoxicated.  He was charged with DWI and issued traffic tickets. He was turned over to Wappinger state troopers and charged with reckless endangerment for striking Senese on I-84.
