TOWN OF WALLKILL – The current economic conditions in Orange County are bright with an extremely positive outook in the future.” That message came from Partnership President Maureen Halahan at the organization’s annual event held Tuesday night in the Town of Wallkill.

Halahan said the agency is following the growth mission of Board President Mike Gilfeather.

“It was his mission to really focus on job creation and possibly a higher level like with pharmaceuticals or technology jobs, any type of jobs that would require more training and more opportunities,” she said.

Halahan acknowledged that the county’s growth is largely because of the county’s location and infrastructure.  “Now we are focusing on building the type of infrastructure that would support higher paying jobs,” she said.
