The driver of the vehicle was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital.

At least one firefighter was transported to the hospital from the scene.

As of 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, first responders were still on the scene and the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division was investigating the incident.

The structure that had been recently renovated, according to a town official, was destroyed in the blaze.  An excavator was brought to the scene to level the remains.

Central Hudson workers responded to install a temporary utility pole to replace the existing pole that was snapped in the wreck.
