Area airports granted funding from Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

WASHINGTON – Hudson Valley area airports have been granted funding for runways, taxiways, safety and sustainability projects through the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The grants can also be used for terminal, airport-transit, connections and roadway projects.

Westchester County Airport will receive $4.43 million and New York Stewart International Airport will receive $2.91 million.

Columbia County Airport will receive $295,000.

Five general aviation airports each have been granted $159,000. They are Joseph Y Resnick in Ellenville, Orange County, Sullivan County International, Hudson Valley Regional (Dutchess County Airport), and Warwick Municipal.

The grants were announced by Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
