Poughkeepsie firefighters with artist Madison Cahill and the autism t-shirt.

by Michael Martucci, Publisher

Kudos go to Madison Cahill, the young lady who came up with the idea to create a t-shirt to promote awareness of Autism.

Madison also developed the artwork for the project.

Her creativity and the support of the City of Poughkeepsie firefighters union, which will be selling the shirts, should not go unrecognized.

Profits from the sale of the shirt will go to the Marist College Best Buddies program, which fosters a welcoming opportunity for people in the Autism spectrum to get together and make friends.

For Madison’s ingenuity and creativity, we salute her, and we also acknowledge the Poughkeepsie firefighters who embrace her idea.
