Bernard Gonzalez, one of the co-owners, says that the new business will benefit people who live in the county.
“Many of our customers come in because they are in pain or trying to get a better night’s sleep. Our staff is very knowledgeable and can point them in the right direction.
Gonzalez spent time in the Orange County Jail for a marijuana felony conviction. While he was there he never figured that he would own a marijuana dispensary someday.
“I thought it was impossible but then once I realized what the state was doing as far as giving us a chance to open up a recreational dispensary, it gave me the motivation to do it. I want to make sure that everything is done legally and everything is done safely so we can take care of the community the right way,” he said.
