NEW PALTZ- Tai Chi is an exercise that promotes balance, coordination, strength, relaxation and improved immunity. A class in Tai Chi for Arthritis and fall prevention is offered free for Ulster County Seniors on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the New Paltz Community Center.

A relatively short and simple sequence of slow, flowing movements, this program has been proven through medical studies to relieve pain for people with arthritis and to prevent falls for older adults.  This is a great way for anyone to improve their overall health and wellness.

The class is sponsored by the Ulster County Office for the Aging.  Participants must be Ulster County residents and at least 60 years of age.
