Beacon PD arrest teen with loaded gun and man with forged passport on same day

BEACON – Three teens were arrested by Beacon City Police on Wednesday after they investigated a burglary in process at Tompkins Terrace.

The trio had fled the scene, but officers quickly located them.

A 15-year-old was found in possession of a loaded, illegal handgun. He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.

The other two, ages 16 and 17, were each charged with criminal trespass.

All three were released on appearance tickets.

Later the same day in an unrelated incident, Beacon Police responded to a call at a Hudson Valley Credit Union branch for a possible identity theft.

Officers located a suspect who initially attempted to flee.

He was found in possession of a stolen credit card as well as a forged passport in the same name of the victim.

Zebediah Schildkraut of Brooklyn was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal impersonation.

He was released with an appearance ticket.
